Building on the huge success of its first year, Northern Stage presents three more evenings packed with the most exciting new work by local theatre-makers, comedians and writers. Grab a drink, watch the shows, give your feedback and debate late into the night. This First in Three is extra special - Monkfish Productions will be curating the evening."We are delighted to be curating Northern Stage's First in Three on Thursday 6 November. We are a unique spoken word and literature company based on Tyneside. We fuse the word with a range of multi-media art forms including film, music, soundscape and comedy and ventriloquism to name but a few! Expect something just a little different at november's event, as we showcase some of Monkfish Word Tank's own material as well as welcoming on stage 6 fantastic spoken word performances itching for audience feedback. As an artist, i had been looking to work with 2 other female artists for quite some time. I need look no further than First in Three earlier this year when i cam across fantastic performer Abigail Douse and performance artist Harriet Plewiss. First in Three is a brillant opportunity to see who is out there, what they are doing and to network and share ideas as a result. The three of us have gone from strength to strength since meeting at First in Three - and we're now the performance art trio Apocalypse Cow!"Claire, Monkfish Productions.
